FAQs

What can I expect in my first session?

In your first session, we will talk about your therapeutic goals and together we will put a plan in place to help achieve these. You can discuss whatever is on your mind, at your own pace.

How many sessions do people typically need?

This depends on your needs. For example, someone with moderate anxiety might come for 6-8 sessions. Someone with severe Health Anxiety or OCD might come for 12-14 sessions.

What success rate have you seen with clients/patients?

I have seen a very high success rate in my practice, which has led to strong demand for appointments. This is due to several factors: I take a meticulous approach, stay up to date with contemporary psychological research (which I believe is an ethical imperative), and prioritise helping clients understand their mental health. When people understand their mind and emotions, they find it much easier to manage day-to-day.

What do you see as the biggest barrier to success?

Inconsistent attendance. Therapy is most effective when attended regularly. A stop-start approach disrupts momentum, making it harder to build insight, apply strategies, and achieve meaningful change.

Do you accept card payments?

Yes, I accept both card and cash payments.

Do you also work with children, adolescents, families, or couples?

At this time, I only provide therapy to adult individuals. I will be providing Couples Therapy from July 2026.

What qualifications do you hold?

I hold a Diploma & BSc (Hons) in Counselling & Psychotherapy from PCI College & Middlesex University and received a 1st Class Honours award. I am currently completing a Masters in CBT. I am a fully accredited member of the IACP (Irish Association for Counselling & Psychotherapy) and work according to their strict professional and ethical guidelines.
